This service is designed to provide access to the state Remotely Sensed Image
Library collection of publicly available natural disaster multispectral
imagery over Queensland captured from satellite, manned aircraft, or remotely
piloted (drone) platforms.
Natural disaster events include flood, bushfire, earthquake, tropical cyclone,
storm, tornado, storm surge, landslide, tsunami, volcanic activity, meteorite
strike, or other significant weather occurrences.
This service displays multispectral imagery (analytic imagery) over areas
affected by the natural disasters in the visible (red, green, blue), near-
infrared, and mid-infrared regions of the electromagnetic spectrum. The
original images are reprocessed to adjust the combination and ordering of
spectral bands in order to combine multispectral images from different sensors
and platforms into a single web service that offers a consistent user
experience. Accuracy is dependent on the projects used. Projects become
visible in the service at a regional scale of 1:250,000.
Default functions for False Colour (bands 4,3,2) and True Colour (bands 3,2,1)
products are available within the service, or alternatively band combinations
can be combined and stretched, and the Dynamic Range Adjustment applied as
required through the client. The service has a LERC compression.
This service supports projects captured in both GDA94 and GDA2020 datums. A
Seven parameter similarity transformation has been applied to new projects
that have been captured in GDA2020, this is to ensure that they align and
display correctly when published in the default WGS 1984 Web Mercator
(Auxiliary Sphere) projection alongside GDA94 projects.
The ISO 19115 standard metadata record for this service and further individual
epoch mosaic product metadata information is available from the Queensland
Spatial Catalogue (QSpatial).
